Thirty-something Masha has been working as a hairdresser for over ten years. Although her appearance is nothing special, and her personal life, at best, is mediocre, she is driven by a powerful ambition to succeed. She puts herself through law school, and years of hard work pay off when she is finally awarded her diploma. After applying unsuccessfully for jobs in a number of law firms, Masha decides to set up her own agency. She rents some floor space in a shopping mall and establishes her mobile office. Everything is possible, she believes, if you are hard-working, enthusiastic and believe in justice. With one table and two chairs and a sign over the door saying “Maria Pirogova, Legal Advice“, cases and clients soon come knocking.

This is a documentary film about five actresses of different generations who played the same role of Masha in Anton Chekhov's play 'The Seagull'. Masha is a woman who is in love with Konstantin, unrequitedly and for ever. This role left a mark of some sort in all the actresses' lives. The film is about parallels between their lives and the role they played, it is about the enclosed world of loneliness to which one comes and struggles to leave.

Vera, a Ukrainian woman working illegally in a Polish factory tries to help Masha - a friend who suffered in an accident at work.

"Masha" is a romantic and ironical comedy. The script is based on the life of Masha, a real young woman from Moscow. One day she ran away to Paris to Dima, a Russian translator. It turns out he is her father, who hasn't seen her since she was a baby. He lets her stay with him. His good friend Natasha helps them understand each other. But his whole life turned upside down and he must now rethink many aspects of his carefree life as a bachelor.

A baby is abandoned near the Neva in St. Petersburg 1890. A teacher picks it up and takes the little girl. 20 years pass, Masha (Claudia Victrix) flee Russia because her father conspired against the Tsarist regime and is in the attention of the dangerous General Bourgassoff (Jean Toulout) . She goes to study medicine in Paris....
